VEXTEC is sponsoring and presenting at AM-Bench 2018, being held at the headquarters of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) near Washington, D.C. June 18-21 2018. The event is co-presented by NIST, the Naval and Army Research Labs (NRL & ARL), and The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS). The meeting will bring together industry and research institutions, to tackle the critical topics of quantitative measurement and model prediction accuracy in additive manufacturing (AM) materials and methods. Continuous improvement in these areas will lead the drive to widespread adoption of AM in countless industries and applications. Dr. Bob Tryon (VEXTEC’s CTO) will address the topic of “Integrated Computational Materials Engineering to Quantify the Effect of Uncertainty in Microstructure on the Fatigue Performance of Additively Manufactured Parts” in his symposium presentation. And, VEXTEC’s exhibit booth will feature some interesting surprises!
