Dr. Awad joined VEXTEC in 2016 as Analytical Engineer II. In this role, Ibrahim is leading the development of methodologies for modeling structures and material damage processes. Ibrahim has published several scientific articles on multi-scale modeling of novel materials such as Carbon Nanotubes and Carbon Nanofiber composites. He specializes in bridging atomistic, micro and macro scales by developing and using different simulation techniques such as molecular dynamics, probabilistic fracture mechanics and finite element methods.

Ibrahim obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Connecticut in 2016. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Mechanical Design and Production Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt in 2013.
